Yesterday went for Metta Run with Siew. Really enjoyed running with her. Although we ran at different speed from time to time. I still feel supported with her around. I think that is why our friendship is so special, there is not necessary to be together 24/7, yet we are comfortable with each other.
Today my body starts to ache. Last night before sleep, my feet was swollen, luckily the swollen has subsided. I guess due to let of stretching exercise. Today is a relaxing day for me, I didn't do much, just washing of family clothing and went to nap. Unfortunately, I didn't have a beautiful dream. I dreamt that Siangming (ex bf) came back to me to ask me for money and he came with his son. In my dream, I was already quite well-to-do. However, I rejected his request and I woke up. When I reflected on my dream, I guess it is really hard for me to give another person a second chance. It is really about the trust that was once built was broken after so many years. No doubt it was just a dream, it felt real. One good thing about it, I don't feel upset about it as I have forgiven him and myself. We are not meant to be. On a second thought, why guys keep asking me for money. Am I so gullible or too trusting? I think I must be more alert when comes to money!
Bad dream aside, I had a good dinner with my family and my aunt tonight. My aunty offered to pay for the dinner. She is generous :) As we are debating who should win the vote. I realised both my mum, my aunty and myself are on the same side and my dad and my sis are on the other side. We both have our views. Nevertheless, I do hope that the voting results would be fair and justice. Win like a gentleman!

Mindful Living
Yesterday while waiting for Siew, I went into Kikki stationary shop. As I browse through the items. I saw a few lovely personal enhanced books comes in a series such goals, happiness, mindfulness and gratitude. I was attracted by the mindfulness book. I liked the quote in the book: “Wherever you are, be all there!” ― Jim Elliot
I think this is what mindfulness is all about. I continued to flipped the book. There are some good questions to reflect.
1) How are you feeling right now?
2) What are the things that are working for you now?
3) What are the things that are not working for you?
4) What will you do to improve the situation?
I have been following Dr Wayne Dyer's teaching for some time. Some of his sharing are inspiring to me such as: When you squeeze an orange, you'll always get orange juice to come out. What comes out is what's inside. The same logic applies to you: when someone squeezes you, puts pressure on you, or says something unflattering or critical, and out of you comes anger, hatred, bitterness, tension, depression, or anxiety, that is what's inside. If love and joy are what you want to give and receive, change your life by changing what's inside.
This is also considered mindful living. Do you know that Dr Wayne has been writing journal all his life? That is because he wants to have the self awareness, to understand himself better, to understand what life is about, to connect with people.
Through the learning from Ven. Master Hsing Yun and Dr Wayne, I feel that I benefited a lot from them. They are great leaders and yet they are humble and impart their wisdom and compassion to us. I am really very thankful towards them. I no longer need to seek for others approval, by just believing in myself. Using my own compassion and wisdom to guide my own path and others.
I will start my journaling again Lol :D

Educating myself on managing finance
Today can called a new rebirth for me as these past few months, I started to educate myself about money and how can I manage money better and benefit myself and people around me. It feels great to receive a decent salary from my own business. Using my talent and skills to bring me out of the situation.
Looking back past year, who on earth would be so insensible to give a stranger $22,000 just because he is in need of money? I truly learned my mistakes, there are truly scammers, liars and cheaters in this world, who can tell you sad stories to con you in believing their sad stories. Although I still have $12,000 to return to my father and sister, I am confident that I am able to deliver my promise for the next year and I will be debt free!
I can't blame anyone other than myself for being so naive and too trusting, thinking that it is real story. But I also learned to forgive myself and making sure that I will not be a victim any more.
Through this drama, I learn that how money is important to our daily life and we should respect money. Money can be beneficial to our needs, help the genuine charity organisations and give our love ones better living life. I have also put aside money for gratification to reward myself for the hardwork that I have contributed, to acknowledge and pamper myself and my family.
Why people lie and cheat?
I guess due to their poor upbringing, they have bad experiences and wanted to revenge or they found the short term benefits of conning people. These will not last and eventually they lost themselves. I do hope that one day, they will repent and walk back the right path. May they be enlighten.
There is such thing as karma, whatever these people do, they need to pay back whatever they have done. I may not have the opportunity to see it. It doesn't matter to me as I have learned my lesson and move on.

Go with the flow
A good friend of mine once said,"Go with the flow and your life will be smoother." Little did I know what she meant until I experience it myself.
These few years, I have been meeting intuitive people, art therapists, even venerables, they all said about going with the flow.
I wasn't open previously, I guess... This year I decided to be more open, things start to flow. I am more receiveable about my own intuition, more open about new ideas, able to adapt changes easier. These are the growth in me.
I felt that I no longer uptight to my bad experiences. I understand that it's part of my learning. I feel more safe now. I realised being a control freak devalued my life, I learn to go with the flow, my world has changed for the better.
Yesterday, attended an art experiential session. It's about drawing the past, present and future doors. I gained a lot of insights. From inward looking to outward looking. From current situation to the outcome. I feel positive and hopeful.
I am still working on myself. I guess life is the best teacher because it never lies.

Digitize my journal
As I was tidy up my room, I saw a few loose journals in my drawer. I read through and decided to summarize and digitize the content here.
The journals was written in 2010. Most of them were written about the happening in each day. Some stories stand out better than the rest, such as my personal growth and insights, relationship with family and past romance. Most of the articles are surround by love, forgiveness and understanding.

- The acceptance of who I really am. The relationship with myself has greatly improved. (4 years old heart work!) I am honest with myself now. Look into my heart whenever I needed the answers. It is safe to admit truth with myself.
- Lessons on Assertiveness. Be clear of my intent and purpose. Be firm about it. Clarity brings wisdom.
- The love for my family.
- Spend time with friends and understand them.
- Letting go of my past romance.I feel neutral about past relationships as they are over. Now, I see the past relationships are experiences that I have gained, be it good or bad. These experiences definitely help me to become a better person in dealing with relationships.
- Love and be passionate with my career. Give 100% focus and commitment. Easily attached and detached from work that I truly care.
- Contribution to the society.
- Celebrate every small successes.
- Continuing the connection with myself.
- My relationships are real and genuine.
- Wisdom is my daily life.
- Body is healthy when I am 80 years old to enjoy trekking at the mountains or forest.
- Love and Passion into my life.
- Creativity, Communication, Confidence, Commitment, Courage and Clarity into my life.
- Peace, Joy and Happiness are here for stay.

Do you really want for a better life?
Everyone of us wants a better life. But are we willing to put in the right effort to make sure that we really do and be committed about it?
I was sharing with my own limiting self belief with a friend who is a magician. He is very outspoken and he just say 3 words: Just do it.
His words just blown me away. Yes, I also thought that I lack of actions. My dreams will not materialise until I choose to do it.
Here are 3 tips that I feel they are necessary to make things happen.
1. Define what we really want.
When the picture of our goal is clear and specific, it will be easier to make the changes and do something about it.
Ask ourselves: what do we really, really want? Look within.
2. Believe in ourselves.
Imagine ourselves having it already. When we allow ourselves to believe that we CAN make the changes we want to make, then starting to make them becomes that much easier.
3. Take a small step every single day.
It takes 30 days before things start to change and new habits take place. Decide that what we want is really important to us, and commit to making an effort towards reaching it every single day. There's no time like the present! Take up journaling, and write out our thoughts about the important issues we raise in making change. Be prepared to be uncomfortable and to rock the boat. (Change is not for the faint of heart.)
We have already decided that what we want is worth it, so when we're tempted to sink into the couch and watch another TV show, or when we're headed to the kitchen to mindlessly shovel food into our mouth, or when our credit card is whipped out and ready to make another numbing purchase, decide that right now is the moment we're going to change.
Inviting ourselves to do something more purposeful. Educating ourselves that we can be focus and committed to change for better life.

Back to the Basic
Going to the Basic is great because
- It simplifies things.
- It de-clutters the mind and space.
- It improves performance.
- It surfaces level of importance.
- It helps to bring clarity.

世界唯一的妳
Watched Cao Ge's music interview. He shared about the story behind this song. This song is inspired by a cat who had skin rashes. At that moment, his career also at the lowest point. He spend time taking care of the cat until it has fully recovered.
At first, he thought he has saved the cat. Later, he realised that the cat gives him the opportunity to love and care unconditionally and be free from his downtime. Very touching story. That is why this video has cats.
He also mentioned that he connects better people through music. For me, I connect better with people through design. Design is my form of expression. It is always touching to see how beings touches each other lives intentionally or unintentionally. We are love and light.
A Healing Journey to the Center of Myself
I am connected to this article. Hence, I would like to share it here.
Via Antonia Rothschild on Jan 11, 2015
I am beginning to see now just what it is I have done for myself in this lifetime.
I am beginning to understand the extent and the depth of the work that I have done with and on behalf of myself. I am beginning to allow for the seeds that I so bravely planted within to truly take root and to crack open the surface and begin to show. And with this I am beginning to acknowledge just how grateful I am for my own persistency, courage and unwavering faith.
Sure, there have been moments when my mind has questioned just about everything and I have felt like giving up; I am even sure there are many more of those moments to come.
But at the end of the day I still have myself to thank for pulling myself through the tough stuff and believing in the good of all. I have stared myself in the eyes and oscillated between feeling intense self-loathing and good old unconditional love.
However dark things have sometimes been, I never forgot about the light.
I am beginning to see that I have really been there for myself through it all. I am seeing that all of the past little versions of me have brought me safely to this moment, this magnificent moment we call the present.
So, without neglecting the importance of the people who have always been around, I realize that I, more than anyone, am to thank for this precious moment. Just as much as I am to blame for all the times I have not acknowledged the geniality and beauty of life I am, also to thank for all those other times when I actually did manage to open my eyes to the wonder of the world.
Blame has no purpose, I know that now. Even what we perceive as mistakes and all that we take on as guilt which wears us down has a reason too: to teach us lessons in unconditional love.
I understand it is rather rare and uncomfortable to see yourself as the hero of your own life, and I suppose it is because people seldom feel capable of this. We are also seldom encouraged to be the divine hero of our own lives.
We need to be willing to ask for support, to let others be there for us. But without faith in our own potential and without our own support to ourselves, we are mere infants helplessly wandering this hazardous earth.
So once we have physically grown beyond the stage of infancy we must slowly but surely metaphysically grow into our own loving parent, god or goddess.
Without developing this inward support of the self, we cannot embody the full magnitude of who we have the potential to become. Parents teach us about this, they are the examples of the loving parents that we are meant to develop within by showing us how to love us unconditionally.
Though all parents are flawed and make mistakes of their own, we must strive to become the better parent and learn from all given lessons. The better parent is the one who loves even more, not in a competitive way, but in a forgiving, brave, naked and vulnerable way.
The better parent is the person who loves him/herself extensively through everything and who, thanks to this love, knows how to love all other beings and moments just the same way, and who dedicates his/her life to simply be an expression of that love. The better parent is he/she who forgives their own parents and all others just as he/she forgives himself for he/she understands that all things are merely different aspects of the same thing: the desire for love to express itself in one way or another.
I want to thank my inner parent, my divinity within, for never leaving me and for helping me get back to where I can see the bigger picture, for taking care of and comforting all my inner children who were once hurt, holding their hands until they were finally ready to leave happily and allow me to continue onto the next adventure.
It is not without humility that I bow down to my own inner being because I for one know the resistance I have many times put up. The beauty of it is that in seeing that it is this unconditionally loving being of light within me that brought me to be. I can now peacefully merge with it. With all the gratitude my heart can bear, I now surrender to my own magnificence, allowing for all the love it holds to be expressed entirely and freely through me.
Because she the human being that isn't just the facilitator of love; she is love manifested.

New Phrase of Life
I have set 1st Sep 2014 as my new phrase of my life.
Be more organise, discipline and diligent.
After 4 months of working on myself, I have make some progress. I set tasks for myself ie Using ePostItNote is useful for me as I list out the top tasks that I need to complete on the day or at least the next few days. It helps me to focus and organised. Hence, discipline sets in esp. where work is concern.
Area of Improvement: I am still unable to keep my table clean and tidy. I reflect on my actions. I like to put things on the table, Hence, my documents pile up. When they pile up, I just leave the messy pile of documents on the table. This leads to endless of messiness on my table. How can I work on this area? I need to find reasons or benefits to keep my table tidy, which I haven't find. One thing I notice is that I like to work in the kitchen, reason is the table is clean and clear. Hmmm, perhaps I can use this reason to be my purpose of keeping my things neat and tidy.
On 8th Feb 2015, I noticed a subtle change in myself. I am able to pack my drawers more organised by grouping them in categories. Throw away those unused items in the drawers. This is an improvement which I didn't see in the past.
Another reminder habit I practice is I start to put "To do list" on my desktop, these are the projects which I need to follow closely and also to write on the post-it-note on reinforce what I need to do. Ever since I implement these 2 habits, I am more mindful in what I am doing. I could feel the change within me. It is an amazing experience.
As I start to change within, my external environment changes as well. I become more aware of my environment and the needs of the people around me. I will embrace and unfold new phrase of my life.

I am good enough
Recently, I met one of my clients to discuss about his packaging. I have come out with 2 options, he didn't like it and ask me to come out with a few more "creative" options. He gave me the art directions. I did accordingly to his direction even don't I think his ideas don't work. True enough, he didn't like his own idea and stick back to my original art work.
When I ask him a deeper question,"Why do you keep changing your mind?" He mentioned that during his course of study at NAFA, his teacher constantly tell him that his artwork is not good enough. He adopt this mindset of his work is not good enough. Years after years, after 20+ years later, even though he is 40+ years old now. He has brought over his past negative experience till now. Whenever a designer does his work, he will think it is not good enough. He didn't dare to pursue his dream of being a videographer. He didn't realise how big impact his teacher has given to him.
How I helped him is to have this awareness that whatever his teacher has mentioned, is already over. Let it go... He is good enough and people around him is good enough. I also just realised that how strong and how deep the impact was given from the teacher. Whatever the teacher has said to his students, be it good or bad, it will impact his students. Choose our words wisely.
