A friend asked me if I want to volunteer in Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) Flag Day. This flag day is to help these stray dogs to be treated and finding suitable homes for them. Without a second thought and I said Yes! During the event, the business owners (husband and wife), who started this flag raising funds, he shared with us there are about 6,000 street dogs left uncare. If anyone reports it, they will be put to sleep. I felt that these couple did a great thing to save these stray dogs. :)
After a week, received the SOSD Flag Day survey on how was the experience. I share mine with them. Many memorable experience. Many dog lovers come forward to give their contributions and they support this campaign. 3 special incidents I would like to share:
1) A cleaner auntie just come forward to give a few coins.
2) A mum who doesn't want to donate but yet her teenager daughter and finally managed to convince her mum to give a dollar to support this campaign.
3) An art gallery business owner asked her daughter to donate and telling her that it is part of human duty to give and support the world. I felt it was a wonderful teaching that she impart to her. young daughter.
What I learnt was greatness comes within whether we are rich or poor, healthy or unhealthy, as long as we have a heart to give unconditionally. It is a meritorious act.
