Mystic Pop-up Bar tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) run by an ill-tempered woman named Weol-ju (Hwang Jung-eum), an innocent part-time employee named Han Kang-bae (Yook Sung-jae), and a former afterlife detective known as Chief Gwi (Choi Won-young) who visit customers in their dreams to help resolve their problems. Kang-bae has a unique ability that is useful to Weol-ju - with a touch, he can make people pour out all their troubles. This is very useful to Weol-ju who needs to settle the grudges of 100,000 souls.
I like this short drama with just 12 episodes, the Korean drama Mystic Pop-up Bar can knit the story perfectly even when there are no moments that feel rushed. Interestingly, there are still two characters with mysterious backgrounds that make me feel curious about what their relationship with the three main characters really is. Mystic Pop-up Bar, has comedy genre but full of meaning of life in it. Although this story can be considered fiction, there are many learning elements that can be taken from the storyline or the characters of each role, both lead roles and supporting roles in this drama.
Everyone's fate is decided by the Heavens.
But the Heavens is more easily moved than you might think.
Little things you say and do may change your fate.
If changing your fate is called a miracle,
miracles may be happening every day.
The miracle of being alive.
The miracle of having the person next to you.
The miracle of being able to have a drink with that person.
