Day 143: Heart Review, Carefree Day 2

On 29 Jan, I had a chest pain, I see my family doctor, he suggested that I go to TTSH for heart checkup.

I followed his advice and I went to A and E. The nurse took my blood 2 times and 2 ECG. Nothing was found.

Just to play safe, the A and E doctor refer me to Heart Specialist, Irene Cheong.

On 9 Mar, I went for Cardiology, Exercise Stress Echocardiography (ESE). The therapists made me ran on the trackmill and wants my heart beat, beat until 190. I couldn't do it. My heart only can beat 160. Fortunately, I don't feel breathless. I saw my physcial heart pumping slowly and gently. I realised my body is a miracle. Thank you for supporting me all these years. I am sorry that I didn't take good care of you. Make you in tremendous stress. I will take care of you now. You deserved a good rest at night.

On 22 Mar, I followed up with Irene. She told me nothing major happened to the heart. Evenlyn says by the time the machine can detect the issues, will be too late to heal. At least now my heart has no major symptoms, all the more I need to take care of my health. There is no excuse.

I really cherish myself more. I am more sensitive to my own needs and wants.

Interesting fun fact: Do you know the brain still can survive when the heart is around? When the heart is gone, the brain is dead.
