The Phantom of the Opera

Went to watch International Broadway's most popular musical, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA with my friends.

This is the 2nd time, they have brought this musical to singapore. As all of us knew the storyline inside out, so we went there with some expectations.

After watching the show, I'm impressed with the stage props, sound effects, and good use of the stage. However, my friends think otherwise. Perhaps this is an international broadway, they have much higher expectations. They felt that the vocals are not good enough.

Yes, I agreed to some extend. They do not give me the "WOW" feeling after listening. After we analyzed, we think they did not sing with substantial feelings, losing the "connection" with us at some parts of the show.

People tend to compare and compare and compare. It is always much, much harder to win the audience hearts when the show "revives" once again. With no much expectations for this musical at all, I felt that muscial overall is quite good.
